Day 357
Today is Stream of Consciousness Saturday brought to us again by Linda Hill. The prompt Linda has given us this week is:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “blue.” Talk about the first blue object you see when you sit down to write your post. Have fun!
Cookie Monster stares at me across the room with his bright blue face and wide white eyes. He has that look in his eye like he is on the hunt for cookies — any kind I would imagine — as that appears to be his mainstay.
This particular version is carefully painted on the back of my granddaughter’s chair. He sits across from his friend Elmo and is also painted in bright blue on the surface of the table. It is as if he is giving us fair warning that any cookies in close proximity are certainly at risk. He looks innocent enough with that constant grin on his face, but honestly, those are the kind you need to look out for.
There is also a stuffed version of him lurking somewhere in the toy box. He is warm and cuddly and fluffy enough, but I would not trust those innocent looking eyes.
Consider yourself warned.
Linda has all the scoop over at her place. Read the rules, check out the comments, then give it a go.
No better shade of blue than Cookie Monster blue! Love this. 💙

I had to remind myself that he was one of the Muppets. I didn’t get to watch much of that show, but mainly liked the two old grumpy guys in the theatre box, because they reminded me of me! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Ha, Pete. Statler and Waldorf are their names and were always two of my favorites, too. Who doesn’t love a couple of grumpy old guys?

Yeah, Cookie Monster is so cool! I remember him from my childhood watching Sesame Street. Your granddaughter is blessed to have the stuffed one.

I was just over at The Topp of JC’s Mind where Joanne Corey also wrote about Cookie Monster. So many good memories from Sesame Street.

The chairs and the table are beautiful. Do you get them readymade or did you paint them?

Lakshmi, it was made commercially — readymade. It is so cute, though.
