It Almost Slipped My Mind

Day 353

Today was the first time in almost a year I had not thought about writing my blog. As a matter of fact, I thought I had written one, but when I checked and saw it was written 24 hours ago, I realized I better get off my duff and hammer something out.

I am only 12 days away from writing for 365 days straight. It has gone by pretty fast. My blog has become important to me. Since I have been away from home a week and a half now, I have not had much time to dedicate to it. An unattended blog is not a good thing. Views and readers wane.

I will answer all comments, I just do not get to it every day.

I have been spending my days taking care of my daughter and trying to help catch them up on some projects around the house. Today I tackled the lanai and the furniture, hosing it all off and letting it dry in the Florida sun. The cats appreciate having their patio back to normal.

I am having great fun with my granddaughter after she gets home from daycare. We are developing a bond over this time we have together and it warms my heart. She is a ray of sunshine and every day is something new. I am so grateful for this time we have even though I wish the circumstances could have been different.

My daughter gets better every day. I am so thankful for her recovery from surgery. I will be here until she no longer needs me, however long that will be.

Now I am off to get a much-needed night’s sleep.
