When I was showing my artwork I always hated to write bios and talk about myself. It’s hard for me.
I can list my roles in life, my jobs, my relationships – but that is not who I am.
I can tell you where I come from, but that’s the past and not who I am today.
The best I can do is tell you I am in search of happiness and contentment in my life. I am fortunate to be married to a wonderfully supportive man who is always happy to see me doing what I love.
So what do I love?
- My family – they are the most important part of my life
- Writing
- Art – any and all kinds
- Jewelry design and construction
- Lapidary – nothing like cutting into a rock and discovering a gem
- Photography
- My home in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
I come from humble beginnings. I have experienced fortune and misfortune. I have loved and I have lost.
I guess I’m just a country girl at heart finding her footing in this new world called retirement.
