Lauren over at LSS Attitude of Gratitude was kind enough to nominate me for this award. Thank you. I am happy to support her blog and her kind nomination by answering the very interesting questions she posed.
A little background. Lauren and I met in an online writing group. In that group, our facilitator challenged us to write a blog every day for 365 days straight which she and I both completed and since that time have continued our blogging practice. Since then, we have met in person and I consider her a treasured friend. Pop over to her blog if you do not already know and follow her.

Responses to Lauren’s Questions:
- If you could redo high school, knowing what you know now, would you do it?
- No. I am not big on redoing or reliving what I have already done. I loved my high school experience even though some of it was extremely difficult. This was the time when my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I handled it the best way I knew how.
- If you are a meat eater, what is the strangest meat you have tried?
- I would have to say bear meat. When I lived in Alaska, I knew a few people who were subsistence hunters. I had eaten moose meat before, but the bear was quite a stretch. It was made into meatballs and I remember it being quite tasty. Shout out to anyone who is a talented wild game chef. It is not always easy.
- In your opinion, is it more important to be spiritual or religious?
- I am not sure about the word important. I think organized religion can be subject to a great deal of manipulation. To me, being spiritual means you have a relationship with something bigger than yourself and I think that can take on many different forms. Spirituality is easily reflected on the outside by the way we treat others and the reverence we hold for our planet.
- If you could be in any TV series for a few walk on spots, which one would it be? (Old or new is OK)
- That’s a tough one. A lot of possibilities come to mind. The first thing that came to mind was Friends. I passed many an early morning hour with these people and I think it would be a hoot to be an old friend from someone’s past.
- (Let’s get risky now.) Do you believe in an afterlife? If so, what is it like?
- I believe in energy continuing. I would like to think I will be able to communicate again with people I have lost, but it is a lot to imagine. I do feel an energy and a presence of people who no longer live. Exactly how it might look might be too much for a mortal mind to imagine.
- Do you think we are headed toward a society with no actual money, just cards or codes? Is is happening in some places.
- I think we are closer to that than we might think. This time of Covid-19 has shown a shortage of coins and a resistance to handle money. It is a little troubling to consider all the things that could go wrong in this scenario, let alone the control that could be wielded.
- What stresses you more, car trouble or house repair trouble?
- House trouble for sure. A car is a convenience. A house is a necessity.
My nominations:
Anyone who finds my questions below interesting enough to answer, should consider themselves nominated. I would love to read your responses. ( And I free you from the responsibility of the requirements of the award because I know many of the bloggers I follow do not like awards.)
My Questions:
- If there were nominations for a NEW natural wonder of the modern world, what or where would you nominate?
- If there was a first round of vaccine available for Covid-19, would you volunteer or would you wait until it was more proven?
- Are you for or against being an organ donor? What is the reasoning for your response?
- If you could only have one dessert or sweet for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
- Board (or bored) games. What is your favorite and what is your ‘no way, no how’?
- Do you believe the recent research that says trauma alters your DNA?
- What would be your biggest concern if you lost your cell phone?
