Welcome to day nine of Just Jot It January for 2023. Today’s word is endurance.
Endurance is an unusual word. My mental definition does not match the dictionary definition. Do I have a skewed perspective? I always thought of it as showing strength, you know, a positive. But check out this definition. Is it all about hardship and adversity?

1: the ability to withstand hardship or adversity especially the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity
2: the act or an instance of enduring or suffering
endurance of many hardships
Now that I think about it, I get it. I may have the endurance to get through the hardship but it is perseverance that keeps me going.
I cannot help but recall this great scene by Chief Dan George in ‘The Outlaw Josie Wales’. Are you familiar with the movie?
