Today is the last day of Just Jot It January for 2022. Linda is always such a gracious hostess and I am glad she decided to continue the challenge this year.
This year seemed easier as I think my approach was what worked for me. I tried to write things I would normally write and not craft an entire post around the word although a few words did inspire a post of their own.
As I looked at the word today – facetious – I think I always use it as a way to clarify or define my sometimes sarcastic humor. Webster uses the word ‘caustic’ to describe facetious humor but I don’t think I am ever caustic. At least I hope not. If I am, I hope someone calls me out on it.
After this challenge I am considering the A to Z challenge for the first time. It still seems a bit daunting so I haven’t decided yet. Right now I am just going to enjoy the sense of accomplishment from this one.
Thanks again to Linda and to everyone who supplied a word for the challenge!

You are never caustic.

I’ve enjoyed your posts for this challenge Maggie. Somehow it seemed easier this month for me too.

That word was one of my mum’s favourite ripostes.
“Don’t be facetious! Be clever instead”.
Best wishes, Pete.

Thank you. I know I get frustrated but I hope I never take it out on others. There can be a thin line between teasing and hurting.
