Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “mash.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
Mash, mash, mash. What to write? There’s MASH the movie and the tv show, but that’s too obvious. Then there is sour mash whiskey, but that’s about all I know about it except where I grew up, a few people did try to run a few stills. Then there’s a mash-up which I think is a collection of things which is what this post might turn into.
Now I can’t help but remember the song “Monster Mash” by Bobby …, what’s his last name? Dang, I will need to look it up and post the video here.
My granddaughter likes the Russian cartoon “Masha and the Bear”. It’s about a rather annoying young child that loves to aggravate what, I think, is an ex-circus bear. Think “Dennis the Menace” and Mr. Wilson only in Russian cartoon format. I will try to find a clip of it after I finish my SOC.
Last night we had mashed potatoes along with chicken fried steak and the last of our Rainbow Chard from the garden.
I was right, this is a real mash-up.
(So I am back to post the videos. It was Bobby Pickett who sang “Monster Mash”. This “Masha and the Bear” episode ‘Recipe for Disaster’ is the 6th most watched video on YouTube.)
I enjoyed that animation. Must try to remember if for my granddaughter. She is only 15 months old, but already addicted to Peppa Pig.
Best wishes, Pete.

If I recall, Pete, there is very little dialogue in the early episodes of Masha and the Bear. She is quite a cheeky little child.

Well done, Maggie. I’d never heard of the Russian cartoon. I’ll have to check that out later today.

We stumbled upon it on Netflix, Dan. It must be popular because there are toys that accompany the show.

Thanks. It felt very disjointed.

I always liked The Monster Mash, but never saw Masha let alone realized it was the 6th most watched thing on U Tube.

Bobby “Boris” Pickett was the name he used on the record, I think….
