Today the challenge is your favorite animated film.
This was a hard choice for me. It was between two films, both which I loved very much. But, alas, “How to Train Your Dragon” lost out to “Legend of the Guardians, the Owls of Ga’Hoole”.
Maybe it was seeing majestic creatures given human characteristics. Maybe it was the age old fight between good and evil, I’m not sure. Maybe it is simply my love of owls that tipped the scale.
I decided to take on this challenge for July after reading about it from SandmanJazz. Check out his blog and his entry for the seventeenth day of the challenge. Maybe even join in!
As I have already mentioned ‘Dumbo’ in another category, I will go with a marvellous Japanese animation (dubbed in English with international actors) that works for children and adults alike. After seeing it on TV, I bought the DVD so I could enjoy it anytime I wanted.
Best wishes, Pete.

That one looks interesting, Pete. When a film is good enough to add to a video collection, you know it is a good one.

It is a more serious film than “How to Train Your Dragon” but we all loved it.

It looks brilliant, is it on Disney+

It is not a Disney film so I doubt it. I think maybe YouTube or Prime or HBO Max?

I check it out on Prime 😊

I’d never heard of / seen The Owls of GaHoole. I definitely want to see it! For me, Fantasia comes to mind.

Fantasia is definitely a classic, JoAnna.

Bambi. Probably the first animated film I saw. I love the old hand drawn films. The wonderful details that don’t come across in computer films

I choose “Frozen,” more because the grandkids were just the right age to squeal and laugh hysterically and get concerned. Then I held a “Frozen” birthday party for the six year old with snowflakes and clear streamers, frozen cupcakes and frozen games. A great success for someone who never before had attempted such a thing.

Frozen is a great film and the musical score is a delight. My grandchildren have had a few Frozen themed parties, too, but I never planned one. My granddaughter had Elsa attend her party, but her car broke down in front of my son’s house and she couldn’t escape all the adoring kids. 😂
