Very well written view of what is happening in Florida concerning Covid-19 and the madness surrounding the push to fully open the state. It did not need to be this way.

It wasn’t that long ago folks that our Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis was bragging how everything that the experts had predicted for Florida didn’t happen.  We were not New York or any of the other states battered by the Corona virus.

He was all over television with the “I’m not criticizing those other states but the experts were wrong,”  Yadayadayada.

When he made those speeches Florida was mostly under lockdown. After the video of thousands of young spring-breakers partying on the local beaches just about everything was shut down.  And indeed…

  3. I was going to write about this too, but I try to keep the negative out. Doesn’t always work out that way for me. My sister is coming to Florida from Texas on Friday because my niece as an AAU Softball tournament in Viera. They have tickets to Disney for the last week of July. We will go down and see them, but no hugs, 6 ft apart and not around anyone else. Bringing our own lawn chairs, umbrella and cooler to watch my niece play ball. I haven’t seen them in over 2 years. Sucks that it is that way! NO DISNEY FOR US, Thank you very much! Too hot with or without a mask. 🙂

          3. I do have tickets to Universal Studios Harry Potter, but still waiting it out. Maybe in the winter if it is still at 25% capacity, I might think about going. MAYBE! 🙂

          4. My sister’s dream was to take her grandchildren to Harry Potter at Universal. She went shortly after they opened. I was glad she made it before she passed away. Wait it out and stay safe.

          5. I’m so sorry to hear about your sister’s passing. Glad to hear she got to take them as well. No need to jump into going anyway. We have too much nature things to do where we can social distance! 🙂

  4. So it’s easy to see why trump and Desantis get along so well. They’re both dumb as they can be. And that statement is as kind as I can be.
