Day 307
It is Saturday and time for a little stream of Consciousness blogging brought to us by the lovely Linda Hill.
This week Linda has given us this to consider:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “clean/dirty.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you like. Enjoy!
I am coming off a week of vertigo which is enough to make my head spin without reading the news. Once better, I sat down to catch up on the news. Big mistake.
Our country is full of dirty deeds and dirty deed doers. We would need a huge industrial sized political vacuum to clean up the mess in Washington. Of course, the dirt has spread throughout the country. So many hands are dirty — how do you clean up an entire country?
Dirty little secrets, dirty little lies and dirty politicians have no desire to be squeaky clean, now do they?
I think it might be time to clean house. I hope a lot of people agree with that. It might be time for everyone to roll their sleeves up and get down and dirty cleaning this mess up. I know I always want to clean my house after watching hoarders tv shows. This is no different. I feel icky just reading the news.
I think Joan said it best.
If you are interested in joining in with the SoCS crowd. Make your way over to Linda Hill’s blog and check out the rules, then join in on the fun.
It seems like so many countries are going through the cycle of ‘dirty politics’ at the moment.
The world is going to need a vacuum bigger than we could ever imagine. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

I think you are right, Pete. I see you have had some recent changes, too. I am ignorant as to what that means to the UK.

The ruling party is moving much further to the Right. But they have such a small majority, there could well be an election in the Autumn.

I hope you fare better than we have, Pete.

That’s going to have to be a really big vacuum, Maggie. Great job with the prompt.

Thanks, Dan. This mess is going to take years to clean up. I think we need those baffles like they use to contain oil spills to protect us from contamination.

The news is just too depressing for me most days. Thank G-d for the mute button.

The news is down right depressing. I refuse to watch.
I love Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford. She was channeling her spirit. Great actresses.

I rarely watch, but after being completely out of the loop for a week, I thought I should catch up.
This was a great role for her. Big shoes to fill.
