SoCS – A Happy Life

Day 293

It’s the end of another week and time again for Linda Hill’s stream of Consciousness challenge.

The challenge this week is a unique one which should be quite fun:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “instructions.” Write instructions for anything you know how to do. As detailed or as rambling as you’d like. Enjoy!

Instructions — How to Have a Happy Life

Love yourself.

Don’t depend on others for your self worth.

Acknowledge and express your feelings.

Find a passion — or several — then exercise them!

Surround yourself with people you respect.

Demand respect for yourself.

Observe the life around you — it is miraculous.

Keep your boundaries and respect those of others.

Laugh.

Sing, even if you cannot carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it.

Connect with a power bigger than your solitary life.

Be kind.

Be truthful.

Do good works.

Don’t worry about yesterday or tomorrow — life happens in the present.

Find an outlet to express yourself. Things under pressure may explode.

Move your body and exercise your mind.

Take classes — learning fuels the mind.

Try new things.

Eat healthy but don’t deny yourself some cake and ice cream.

Exercise your power to walk away.

Find your tribe. They are out there.

Invite children and the elderly into your life. Their gifts are amazing.

Temper your use of social media.

Have fun.

Now that was fun! If you would like to join in the fun with the cool SoCS crowd, why not drop by Linda’s blog, check out the rules and read this week’s offerings. Based on the prompt, you are bound to learn something!
