#1LinerWeds – Why Didn’t I Walk?

I was okay with my decision to forgo my morning walk because of the rain and the heat. That is until I happened to see this:

how lucky we are to live in a society where it is traditional to wear clothes.”

I love Erma Bombeck’s sense of humor. At first, I chuckled, then I thought a little longer. Maybe I should reconsider that walk?

What’s a little rain anyway? And it is probably not going to be cool until October either.

But then again, we do wear clothes.

Such puzzling thoughts for a Wednesday.

  1. Because I have a dog, not going out for a walk is never an option, whatever the weather.
    But I am also glad to live in a society where everyone wears clothes. 🙂
    (I can recall boys smuggling copies of NG into school, as it was a rare opportunity to gawp at photos of near-naked women!)

    1. The weather should not be a deterrent for me, either, Pete. Bad habit to get into. I envy your places to walk. It is a little more challenging here.

      I remember young boys ogling over National Geographic in grade school. I, too, am thankful for clothes.

  4. Just seeing the name Erma Bombeck reminded me of how many laughs she had given me over the years. I love humor that is just funny, not crude or rude.

    1. I loved her, too! I will never forget reading ‘I Lost Everything in the Post Natal Depression’ and laughing so hard. What a great comedic voice.
