Day 72
Sometimes all you need is one hour. An hour to take a breath, re-center and see all the beauty that surrounds us.
Today our hour came when we took a short drive across the Ravenel Bridge and then on to the Battery in Charleston.
The Ravenel Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that crosses the Cooper River. You cannot help but marvel at the engineering feats mankind has accomplished. Walking along the pier beneath the bridge you can see the USS Yorktown.
Watching the sun slowly fade beyond the horizon, lighting the sky orange, is a scene I never tire of. Today was no exception. We walked along The Battery and watched the ducks fish for food as the day came to a close.
An hour. That’s all it takes sometimes to rejuvenate and refresh.
